Lesson 20 – Employer / Employee

Background

Whether you are an Employer or Employee, you are a Spiritual Worker in the Workplace.

In other words, our Careers provide us with a Mission Field.

However, we must always remember that our Calling comes before our Careers!

Prayer Guidelines for an Employer

Pray for the Lord to bless your Employees (1Chronicles 4:10)

Pray for the Lord to help you not to make work your god (Psalm 127:1-2)

Pray for the Lord to make you "Fisher of Men" (Matthew 4:19)

Pray daily for the establishment of God’s Kingdom in the Workplace (Matthew 6:9-10)

Pray to be a Fearless Witness of God (Romans 1:16-17)

Pray for Self-Control when things go wrong at work (Galatians 5:22-23)

Pray for God to help you put others before yourself (Philippians 2:3)

Pray for God to make you pay Fair Wages (1Timothy 5:18)

Pray for the Lord to Free you from Greed (1Timothy 6:8, 10)

Pray for the Salvation of your Employees (2Peter 3:9)

Prayer Guidelines for an Employee

Pray for God’s Blessings on your Employer and fellow Employees (Numbers 6:24-26)

Pray for the Lord to equip you to Handle Conflict (1Kings 3:12)

Pray to do your work as if for the Lord (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

Pray for the Lord to lead you to invest your money wisely in His Kingdom (Malachi 3:10)

Pray for the Lord to help you forgive those who do wrong to you (Matthew 6:14-15)

Pray for the Lord to help you make time for Him (Matthew 6:33)

Pray for God to help you treat others as you would like them to treat you (Matthew 7:12)

Pray for God to give you the Heart of a Servant (Matthew 23:11-12)

Pray for the Salvation of the people you work with (Luke 5:32)

Pray for God to protect you against Sexual Temptations (1Thessalonians 4:3-4)
