Lesson 16 – Pride

Power of Pride

Pride is self-centred and opens the gate to all sorts of sin in our lives, e.g. Selfishness, Self Pity, Quest for Power position, Hypocrisy, Deification of Self (i.e. see yourself as "god") etc.

Lucifer / Satan was thrown out of Heaven because of Pride (Ezekiel 28:13-17; Isaiah 14:12-14).

The Power of Pride can be broken in the following ways:

When a person understands how evil it is.

When a person asks God the Holy Spirit to reveal his/her pride to him/her.

When a person chooses to humble himself/herself.
